My dad moved to Evergreen Care Homes (Eagle's Nest) in late August after issues (his and theirs) in another care setting. He lived at Eagle's Nest for the last 6 weeks of his life and we couldn't have been happier with the setting or care team.He required 1:1 care, and they provided it without calling us to serve as backup (which we'd been experienced in the months leading to this move).
They have a 1:1 ratio, which enables staff to essentially tag-team if someone needed a break from a particular resident (which they never expressed but which I can imagine as a parent and from caregiving with my dad - it's hard work). We worried we'd never find a place that could work with him and his behaviors adequately, and they were able to care for him compassionately and skillfully from the start. The care team was exceptionally empathetic and knowledgeable. They understood his Parkinson's Disease with Parkinsons Disease Dementia was not something he'd chosen, and that his "behaviors" were symptoms of the disease and not personality deficits. They treated him as a human and found ways to work well with him.
They treated our family as family. They partnered well with hospice and kept us informed as we approached the end, graciously welcoming dozens of visitors in his final days, understanding and facilitating our desire to be with him around the clock. While I don't know any other residents' diagnoses, I'd highly recommend checking them out for a high level of care for a range of complicated care needs.

I made the difficult decision to place dad in Evergreen care homes not for my convenience but for trusted and compassionate 24/7 care of my father. For this, we had to move dad out of state because I knew he'd be better cared for with Evergreen. I've known the owner of Evergreen for over 25 years and he is a person of great love and integrity which is reflected in his senior managers down to the home health care staff. Evergreen was started as a devotion for a son to do better for his parents than what was offered in other care homes and it certainly lived up to this commitment with my father. The staff was attentive, loving communicative with me and for dad's last days I could not have asked for a better experience. Evergreen allowed my father to finish with dignity and allowed me to keep my own. I would recommend them for anyone contemplating care home care wholeheartedly.
